Tommy Shots

Colombo mob boss Thomas “Tommy Shots” Gioeli, who earned his nickname after being shot several times in an ambush, was keen on toting a fashionable European-style clutch, according to a search warrant unsealed in Brooklyn federal court.

Frankly i could care less about that, those rims he’s sporting are world class dictator shit…i wonder if they auto dim?

Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal

"I bought a mountain to go with my sunglasses"

Pappa Bongo

There are many ways of measuring Omar Bongo’s rule. The Omar Bongo Triumphal Boulevard, the Senate Palace Omar Bongo, and the university, football stadium, gymnasium and military hospital that all bear his name.

OR you can just look at his shades, yell “Tortoiseshell!!!!” and be done.

The social media universe has been aghast this week after the revelation that Prince Alwaleed bin Talal of Saudi Arabia has invested $300 million in Twitter. The shock and awe seems to center around the notion that Twitter has been at least partly responsible for the Arab Spring uprisings that directly threaten the Saudi royal family’s grip on power.

I’m however waiting for some shock and awe rims; Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, the eyewear throne is yours to take, just don’t go up there wearing the BS you got on now. I’ve seen better from bridge and tunnel folks walking into the Gansevoort in NY!

First brother Momar, now ILL. these guys were my muse for “Dictators and the sunglasses who wear them.”

ILL rarely swayed from his vintage Vintage Courreges Sunglasses, but when you find perfection, you stay with it!

ILL was one crazy motherfucker, one dictator who truly created and owned a “look.”

his sunglasses will not be replaced, they will be retired.

da plane da plane!!!

Photographer Nick Gleis snaps planes for a living. Some of his photos—as featured in the forthcoming Brighton Photo Biennial show—are of African dictators’ private jets, circa 1960 - 1970.

i covered off on Saudi prince al-Waleed bin Talal’s plane which is the most baller of all, BUT if you want a plane that has that old las vegas strip vibe, these definately foot the bill.

speaking of footing the bill, remember these planes represented 50% of that little countries GDP, or al-Waleed bin Talal’s bar tab at the carlyle.

when ILL pays you a visit, you don’t point out things to him. He looks in a direction, and YOU have to point at what you think hes looking at…
